Due to the high demand for our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) services and our commitment to making them widely accessible, we’re excited to expand our availability by offering additional low-fee, in-office SEL sessions.
We are pleased to expand our low-fee Social Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions with Jenaya Vasquez, B.A., under the supervision of our Director of Educational Psychology, Kaydon Schanberger, M.Ed.
What to Expect:
Jenaya and Kaydon will work as a team and host dual intake sessions with caregivers to collaborate on a treatment plan for your child. Afterwards, Jenaya will meet with your child individually for follow up SEL sessions. Through weekly consultation with Kaydon, Jenaya will modify and update your child’s treatment plan as needed. Through this method, we ensure that your family receives the highest level of care, while preserving low cost fees.
Social Emotional Learning is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions, feel and show empathy for others, establish, maintain supportive relationships, and achieve personal and collective goals.
With SEL support and education, children are better able to identify and label emotions, build empathy, identify the appropriate response or coping skill, self-regulate, initiate peer and adult interaction, and practice responding to big versus little problems.
There are 5 areas we can address in SEL
1. Self-awareness
2. Self-management
3. Social awareness
4. Relationship skills
5. Responsible decision-making.
