We’re excited to announce that our Occupational Therapist, Heidi Joachims, OTD, is now offering a brand-new Sensory Regulation Group! This program is designed to help children better understand and manage their sensory experiences, all in a supportive and engaging environment. Read on for a special message from Heidi below!
“I am excited to offer a 5-week sensory regulation group designed to help children better understand their unique sensory preferences and how they impact daily life! Everyone processes sensory input differently, and these differences can affect how children focus in school, manage emotions, make friends, and even engage in play. In this group, we’ll explore our senses and learn practical strategies to help regulate our sensory systems. A regulated sensory system helps children manage their emotions, stay focused, and respond appropriately to their environment, which supports learning, social engagement, and overall well-being.
