Dear Parents of Children in Preschool through 6th grade:

I wanted to take a moment to highlight the ways I am able to support your child’s development and success. Whether I provide sessions in school or in the clinic, my focus is on addressing each child’s unique needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Helping Children Succeed in School

For children in preschool and beyond, I provide in-school support to collaborate with teachers and implement strategies that help your child regulate and engage in the classroom. These services include:

  • Sensory Regulation Support: Assisting children in managing sensory input to stay focused and calm.
  • Task Initiation Strategies: Helping students begin tasks independently and stay engaged.
  • Classroom Education: Training teachers on effective techniques to support your child’s needs.

By working directly with teachers and school staff, we aim to create a supportive and understanding environment where your child can flourish.

Comprehensive Clinic-Based and School/Preschool-Based Services

In the clinic, I work one-on-one with children to build foundational skills that impact their daily lives. Sessions may focus on:

  • Developmental Skills: Strengthening fine and gross motor abilities to support tasks like writing, cutting, and coordination.
  • Interoception and Body Awareness: Helping children become more in tune with their bodies to recognize and respond to their own needs.
  • Social Skills Education: Teaching children how to navigate friendships, communicate effectively, and understand social cues.
  • Sensory Strategies: Identifying and practicing tools that help your child self-regulate and feel more comfortable in their environment.

Why These Services Matter

Many children experience challenges like staying focused, managing emotions, or understanding their body’s signals. By addressing these areas both at school and in the clinic, we can:

  • Improve emotional and sensory regulation.
  • Foster independence in task initiation and completion.
  • Build confidence in social interactions.
  • Help children feel more grounded and connected to their bodies.
